Haye Holds All The Aces, Except The Big One

Haye holds most of the advantages over Valuev for this Saturday's freaky heavyweight fight. He's faster, more skillful, more athletic and I reckon he actually probably hits harder.

But there is, of course, one thing that Valuev has over Haye: sheer size.

Valuev isn't a big hitter but he knows how to use his mountainous size to good effect. Will Haye be able to get inside and inflict damage, then get out before being mauled by this beast of a man? I hope so, but I don't think he'll be able to do it consistently or for long enough to win. But the great thing about boxing is: you just never know.

  1. It's going to be such an interesting fight!!

Do you think Haye is better than the Holyfield that fought Valuev? Haye isn't better than Holyfield in his prime but I'm pretty sure he is better than an old and punchy Holyfield.

If it goes to it, the judging could also be interesting!

  2. I reckon Haye is better than the old Holyfield. But Haye is very untested at this weight, so a lot will depend on how well his body has grown into the division - without actually having had fights. Holyfield, like Haye, was a cruiserweight, but he had the sense to have quite a few fights before challenging for the heavyweight crown (shockingly it was Buster Douglas and not Tyson though!)
